This digital illustration depicts a few of my favorite dishes that my family and I shared back
home in Thailand: a pot of green curry with rice and pork skewers, along with my grandmother’s hand-rolled chicken curry puffs. I am fortunate enough to have a family to share home-cooked meals with, and I believe for those like me, we cherish these times spent with our loved ones, no matter where in the world and what type of cuisine is shared. Sharing meals is the universal act of unifying people, but the people you share it with and your relationships you have with them are unique. My nickname in Thai is ภัท (pronounced “Putt”) which means “fan” or “to fan”, hence the pink fan on the bottom left representing my presence on the dinner table, as well as my ethnicity and nationality.
